2021 Member Application/Renewal

TIME: 9am to 1PM (you can start setting up your space as early as 7AM)
LOCATION: BPCA Park Area and Pavilion
Community residents are encouraged to bring their yard sale items to the park to sell, swap and trade.

We will have a limited number of tables - first come first served. Cost is $10.00 per table. You are welcome to bring your own table and chairs at no cost.

NOTE: If weather does not cooperate, we will reschedule this event, so stay tuned to your email registered with the BPCA for any inclement weather updates.



We will have our Second Annual Building and Grounds Maintenance Day on April 4th, 2020. We will start at 9AM until focusing on cleaning up the grounds around the building, boat launch area, and cleaning out storage room in the building.

We will have a checklist of items to be completed this year.
We would like to take down two trees near the parking area, so if anyone has access to any type of tree service that may be interested in helping take down these nuisance trees we would appreciate it.
We will also be putting up new perimeter floats to mark the swimming area and light maintenance on the swimming and fishing piers.

We will have some hotdogs and hamburgers on this Saturday for those who come out to help keep our park beautiful, so please come join us for a fun time.



Final installation of the electrical underneath the pavilion to install outlets, lights and fans should be completed in the next couple of weeks. A special THANKS goes out to member Jeff Brooks (Low Drive) for running the conduit, wire and installing the electrical fixtures.
We would like to place some rocking chairs under the pavilion to give residents somewhere to sit to view our beautiful Bear Point Sunsets. We would like to accept donations for 10 rocking chairs. The cost of these are $200 each and we would be glad to accept them in memoriam or as a donation with a plaque applied to recognize you for your donation.



We are in the final stages of consultation with the City of Orange Beach Environmental Services, Corps of Engineers and ADEM. We are having to make modifications to our permit to allow for the natural growing wetland along the see wall. As soon as we have a commitment letter regarding the wetlands we will begin scheduling the project. We will give frequent updates going forward on anticipated construction timeframe.



We have signed the contract with Guardian Integrators to install an automatic gate opener at the boat launch. Work will begin within the next couple of weeks. Until then, please continue to use your 2019 key and decal for access to the boat launch.

We should have the RFID antennas to install on your vehicle and decals for your trailer within the next couple weeks. Once those have been received, we will notify all Boat Launch Members about several dates you will be able to stop by and have these antenna installed and receive your decals.

Our original plan was to install the antenna on the boat trailer, but the metal trailers interfere with the antenna reception. So we will be installing the antenna on the vehicle(s) you use to launch your watercraft. These antennas will be very similar to the Freedom Pass decal used at the Foley Beach Express tollway. Remember, the first antenna is free with your membership, each additional antenna will cost $10.00 if you need to install on multiple vehicles. This will be a one-time fee, so you will not have to renew these each year.



We have a few dates for music in the park for May, June and July. We will be releasing more information about these musical acts, dates and times. I can announce The Doc Johnson Band will be playing for MY BIRTHDAY in the park on June 20th from 4:00PM until 8:00PM, weather permitting. You are welcome to bring a lawn chair and join us for some great music in the afternoon.



We met with the Community Development Leaders with the City of Orange Beach to discuss enhancements in our community. We have started compiling a list of enhancements we would like to see addressed and we will be meeting with the City at some point in March to discuss these recommendations. We are trying to address issues such as drainage, signage, and street lamps. We will keep you posted in our next update on our progress for making improvements to the infrastructure within our community.
